Raisin Bran Muffins
3/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup bran
1 tablespoon molasses
1 tablespoon melted fat
1/2 cup milk
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 cup seedless raisins

Sift together first three ingredients.
Add bran and raisins.
Combine molasses, shortening, milk, and egg.
Add to dry ingredients, and stir just until flour is moistened.
Bake in muffin tins in hot oven (400°), 20 - 25 minutes.
Yields 6 large or 10 small muffins.
